New concept: Service vessel with compact processing factory

Cflow has, together with ship owner company Charvest, developed a complete fish handling solution for a new type of service vessel. The solution is designed to increase fish welfare and efficiency, as well as contribute to the development of a sustainable industry. Charvest's new service boat Csaver, also called Minibløgger’n, is the first of its kind and has already gained good experience with the slaughterhouse on board.

The potential for sustainable value creation in the ocean is vast. Today, only 2% of the aggregated food production comes from the ocean. In 2050 it is estimated that there will be roughly nine billion people on earth, and we need about 70% more global food production. In order to meet the need for a healthy diet we have to invest in products and processes that are environmentally sound and provident, which includes products and food from the ocean.

Cflow fish handling system to world’s largest wellboat

18 September 2019 – Norwegian shipowner Frøy Rederi has chosen Cflow Fish Handling AS (Cflow) to deliver a complete fish handling system to what will become the world’s largest wellboat.

AQUA SPA – The first out of 6 sister ships is delivered

The first out of six wellboat projects is delivered from Sefine Shipyard to DESS AquacultureShipping. Aqua Spa is the first ship in line and is now ready for operations in Tasmania, Australia. Aqua Maloy will be completed later this fall and the remaining four during 2020.

Sea Urchins from Research Project

Since the beginning of 2017, Cflow has been engaged in the development of an aquaculture system for sea urchins, in cooperation with Urchinomics. In February this year, several media wrote about how Cflow applied for a permission for aquaculture of sea urchins, at our own facilities in Langevåg. The application was approved, and the plant was built this summer.
